MOUNT Gambier Library will open after hours to host a special Family Night celebrating National Families Week on Thursday, May 14, from 5.30pm to 7pm.<\/p>\n
The free, drop\u2013in event will showcase the library as a welcoming community space, with activities designed to bring families together through play, creativity and connection. Families can enjoy games, LEGO, Minecraft, playgroup activities, a Bunnings activity table, balloon animals and glitter tattoos, with catering also provided. Families will also receive take home packs to continue the fun and connection at home.<\/p>\n
Team leader children\u2019s and youth services Erin Jones said the event celebrates the diversity and importance of families in the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cFamily Night at the library is about creating a welcoming, inclusive space where families can relax, have fun and make positive memories together,” Mrs Jones said.<\/p>\n
\u201cLibraries are places for learning, but they\u2019re also places for connection. Events like this help strengthen relationships and remind families that the library is a space designed for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
