The Pioneers sparked into action in the second, though to turn that deficit into a four point half time lead and they dominated the second half to cruise to the much needed victory.<\/p>\n
Boler put up 23 points, four rebounds and three steals in the win with 9\/14 field goal shooting with Champion adding 20 points, six boards and four steals.<\/p>\n
Lara Edmanson also had 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Carla Pitman 15 points, nine boards and nine assists, and Abby Prohaska 11 points, five assists, three rebounds and three steals.<\/p>\n
The Sunday afternoon game against a well-rested Eltham Wildcats, who had not played for seven days, saw the Pioneers just fall short with the Wildcats winning on their home court 97. 90.<\/p>\n

The men had a tougher time of it on Saturday night against the Braves but with captain Alex Mudronja leading the way, the Pioneers secured a 12 point victory.<\/p>\n
The home side led by two at quarter time before the Pioneers assumed control of the contest in the second and went into the main break leading 49-38.<\/p>\n
Mudronja contributed 23 points and eight rebounds after his late match winning effort the previous week, while Ngor Manyang added 18 points and four rebounds, Scott Telfer 12 points on 6\/8 shooting, Micale Mee nine points, two rebounds and two steals, Lucas Gordon nine points and 11 boards, and Collin Moore nine points, five assists and four rebounds.<\/p>\n
And just as the women had a wake-up call against the Wildcats, the Pioneers men also suffered a Sunday afternoon loss, going down by 18 points.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats made a flying start with 23 points to 14 in the opening quarter and by half time it was a 13 point lead to the home side.<\/p>\n
The loss has the Pioneers men sitting on the wrong side of the ledger, 5-6.<\/p>\n
