Train services across Victoria have been suspended as a widespread Telstra outage continues to affect thousands of users.<\/p>\n
All trains in operation are being held at their nearest railway station, and limited coaches are replacing V\/Line trains across all services.<\/p>\n
V\/Line is asking passengers to avoid travel until further notice and check on the V\/Line website and app for the latest information.<\/p>\n
“We thank passengers for their patience and understanding while we work to restore services as soon as possible,” a V\/Line spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
Transport Victoria’s signals team is monitoring conditions near railways and will adjust traffic lights to assist with bus movements.<\/p>\n
Telstra, which powers about 25 million mobile services nationwide, confirmed the outage earlier today.<\/p>\n
“We’re looking into an issue affecting some mobile calls and data connections,” Telstra said on X.<\/p>\n
“We’re on it and will share an update as soon as it’s fixed. Thanks for bearing with us.”<\/p>\n
Telstra asked users to restart their devices as a temporary fix.<\/p>\n
More than 7,500 customers reported the network disturbance on online monitoring platform Downdetector.<\/p>\n
