THE Mount Gambier Golf Club ladies were very fortunate with the weather with a shower of rain just as they finished their round last Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The course is standing up well considering all the rain that has fallen recently.<\/p>\n
Players in carts are asked to keep off the fairways and keep to the right side to help protect it as much as possible – it is definitely winter golf.<\/p>\n
Twenty-one ladies played a stroke round for the July Monthly Medal, with a putting competition as well with eight ladies opting to play a stableford round.<\/p>\n
RESULTS:Division 1:<\/p>\n
Winner: Jess Parsons, the Monthly Medal winner on the day had a great round of nett 70. Jess scored four pars in a row from the 6th hole to the 9th hole with a 43. She also had four pars on the back 9 with a 45.<\/p>\n
Runner up:Leeanne Hunt: nett 75 on a countback from Val Grub.<\/p>\n
