CRAFT group Twisted Threads has presented the In Home Hospice Care Mount Gambier a $1500 cheque \u2013 the proceeds from the group\u2019s annual exhibition and sale.<\/p>\n
The donation was hand over to manager Sandi Elliot with group representative Julianne Woodruff saying it was such a vital community service.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey provide such a caring community service with very little ongoing funding,\u201d Julianne said. \u201cThe exhibition and sale were held in the City Hall, a great display of our community\u2019s creativity and expertise.\u201d<\/p>\n
The craft group also donate funds to the library for magazine subscriptions and books.<\/p>\n
Twisted Threads is always looking for new members, meeting at the library every Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12noon.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwisted threads welcomes everyone with an interest in textiles,\u201d Julianne said. \u201cFrom knitting and crochet to spinning and weaving. eco dying, fabric printing and stickers, upcycling and redesigning garments, we have members trying all types of textile creativity.
