{"id":2058,"date":"2023-01-11T06:47:31","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T06:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=2058"},"modified":"2023-11-03T06:50:01","modified_gmt":"2023-11-03T06:50:01","slug":"grant-council-campaign-brings-christmas-joy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/news\/grant-council-campaign-brings-christmas-joy\/","title":{"rendered":"Grant Council campaign brings Christmas joy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>District Council of Grant combines forces with Foodbank to help those in need for festive season<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A small idea from staff at the District Council of Grant has made a big impact to community members in need this Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Employees William Parker and Jake Turner proposed the idea to host a \u2018Casual for a Cause Day\u2019 at the organisation in an effort to bring the working team together and brighten the holiday period for those experiencing disadvantage.<\/p>\n<p>On December 22 the workforce rallied in support and filled a total of 10 bags of non-perishable items which equates to 62.5 kilograms of food and 125 meals.
