The commissioning of this CLT line follows production of the facility\u2019s very first GLT beam in August 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Timberlink chief marketing, sales &#038; corporate affairs officer David Oliver said the entire team had been working towards this moment since they announced construction of the facility in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo see the hard work of so many come to fruition is very rewarding,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Timberlink CLT\/GLT operations manager Patrick Dark said there was such an air of positivity when the panel came off the line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody who has been involved in the installation, testing and commissioning of our NeXTimber equipment should be proud of what we\u2019ve accomplished,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The newly commissioned CLT line, co- located at Timberlink\u2019s Tarpeena manufacturing facility, can produce panels up to 16M long and 3.5M wide and will unlock significant capability to manufacture mass timber building products in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Mass timber products like CLT and GLT offer an exciting alternative to traditional construction materials and can help to reduce the embodied carbon of a project.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2023\/10\/219.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"446\" height=\"428\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2023\/10\/219.jpg 446w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2023\/10\/219-300x288.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The NeXTimber by Timberlink team are now accepting orders for CLT and GLT as the facility is scheduled for full production by the end of this month.
