On October 1 in beautiful weather Robe Bowling Club held Matt\u2019s Plumbing 100 Up.<\/p>\n
In the men\u2019s competition Peter Roachock defeated Ricken Bermingham, Josh Waddell defeated Ali Douglas, Harold Manton defeated Errol Jennings, Steve Farrell defeated Rob Lawrie and David Robinson, Glenn Wright, Jim Gray had a bye and Dean Burgoyne had a forfeit in the first round.<\/p>\n
In the second round, Peter Roachock defeated Jim Gray, Harold defeated Josh, Dean defeated Glenn and David defeated Steve. Third round Harold def Peter & David def Dean. In the final David led most of the way but Harold made a comeback in the 80s and 90s to win.<\/p>\n
In the Ladies competition there were two very close games in the first round, Kerrie Boyd defeated Fleur Roachock and Tracey Gray defeated Judy Bermingham, Robbie Dahler and Carolyn McCusker both had a bye. In the second round Tracey defeated Kerrie and Robbie defeated Carolyn. In the final Robbie defeated Tracey with both ladies playing great bowls.<\/p>\n
Social bowls Thursday saw 17 players brave the cold and damp weather. There were 2×2 game winners. Runners up on 51 points were Errol Jennings and Ian Bruce and winners on 53 points were Peter Roachock and Paul Truelove.<\/p>\n
