United Way Glenelg\u2019s Imagination Library came to an exhilarating finish, with the \u201cRogersFamBam\u201d team emerging as the triumphant champions of this exciting and community-driven event.<\/p>\n
The Imagination Library Scavenger Hunt, a virtual adventure held from Friday, September 8, to Monday, October 2, aimed to raise awareness and increase participation for the United Way Glenelg Dolly Parton\u2019s Imagination Library. Marking a decade of success, the Scavenger Hunt celebrates the 10th anniversary of Dolly Parton\u2019s Imagination Library in Glenelg Shire community.<\/p>\n
Over a span of several weeks, participants from near and far across Glenelg Shire dived headfirst into a whirlwind of challenges, missions, and community spirit, all in the name of promoting literacy and education for children.<\/p>\n
\u2018RogersFamBam\u2019, a dynamic and dedicated team, secured their victory by amassing the highest number of points throughout the hunt. Their unwavering enthusiasm and creative approach to mission completions set them apart from the competition.<\/p>\n
Team leader Kirby Anderson said the boys told me they loved it all, but I think they enjoyed thinking outside the box in how to complete missions in fun ways and using technology to capture it.<\/p>\n
The RogersFamBam\u2019s enthusiasm was evident in their book parade, their energetic disco party puppet show, and their playful exploration of puppetry, all of which captivated the judges and the scavenger hunt audience.<\/p>\n
Their inventive approach to the missions, including the popular \u201chiding books in the library\u201d game, showcased their dedication to creating memorable moments and promoting a love for reading. The winners are now the proud owners of the one-of-a-kind Dolly Parton vase designed and crafted by Portland\u2019s very own Angela Ryks.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing school holidays, it gave us something we could do locally, a great activity to keep busy,\u201d the winners shared. \u201cAs for keeping up the inspiration, the key was fun and hanging out together,\u201d Ms Anderson said.<\/p>\n
As well as celebrating the victory of \u2018RogersFamBam\u2019, organisers also extend their admiration to the other exceptional teams who came close on the leaderboard. \u2018The Berry\u2019s\u2019, \u2018Arlo\u2019s Adventures\u2019, and \u2018Luca\u2019s Legends\u2019 displayed remarkable teamwork, creativity, and commitment throughout the scavenger hunt, enriching the experience for all participants and supporters.<\/p>\n
