{"id":4500,"date":"2023-06-14T10:45:40","date_gmt":"2023-06-14T10:45:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=4500"},"modified":"2023-11-05T10:50:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-05T10:50:02","slug":"starting-key-conversations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/news\/starting-key-conversations\/","title":{"rendered":"Starting key  conversations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Reconciliation Week student story telling competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last month to recognise National Reconciliation Week (NRW) the Mount Gambier High School SRC and the Aboriginal Education Team organised a story telling competition for students to enter.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for National Reconciliation Week this year was \u2018Be a Voice for Generations\u2019 and to celebrate this, students learnt about symbols used in Indigenous storytelling and artwork &#8211; a form of communication to share one\u2019s voice. The winning entries, as judged by the SRC, were Eva Povey (pictured above), Tulip Lel (pictured below left), Emma Bates and Amilliea Payne (pictured eblow right).
