{"id":4722,"date":"2023-06-07T15:52:53","date_gmt":"2023-06-07T15:52:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=4722"},"modified":"2023-11-05T15:56:07","modified_gmt":"2023-11-05T15:56:07","slug":"asking-for-help-with-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/real-estate\/asking-for-help-with-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Asking for help  with research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Landscape Board shining a light on soil health &#038; primary production<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do you have a shelterbelt on your property?<\/p>\n<p>The Limestone Coast Landscape Board (LC Landscape Board) are encouraging landholders with shelterbelts on their property to support a survey on the effects of shelterbelts on soil health and primary production.<\/p>\n<p>The survey results will be used to inform future activities supported by the LC Landscape Board including upcoming workshops and demonstration days for the region.<\/p>\n<p>Ehsan Sayad, Soil Extension Officer for the Limestone Coast Landscape Board said, \u201cShelterbelts can improve soil health on farms, and assist with soil erosion and on farm productivity, making it a key priority for landholders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is important we collect this information from landholders in our region to find out where we can offer relevant support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoil health is integral to our work with the community, there has been some fantastic revegetation learning and work completed in recent years with positive impacts on primary production and soil health across the Limestone Coast,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>To complete the survey please visit our website and follow the links.<\/p>\n<p>Participants in the survey will also be advised of an upcoming workshop in July.
