Local Australia Day Award nominations open<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you know an individual, organisation, group or event that has made an outstanding and impactful contribution to our local community outside their regular employment, this is your opportunity to show them that they\u2019re truly appreciated and nominate them for the Mount Gambier 2023 Citizen of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n

Individuals and organisations eligible for the Citizen of the Year Awards may offer services including but not limited to; education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and well- being of a community.<\/p>\n

CEO Australia Day Council of South Australia Jan Chorley said the Citizen of the Year Awards program truly represents the recognition of the best in our community. \u201cIt enables appreciation and gratitude for those people and organisations that volunteer their time and expertise across all activities, without cause or motivation for recognition and glory,\u201d Ms Chorley said. \u201cIf there was a time to pay it forward and show them their efforts have not gone unnoticed, this time is now. Nominating is easy, and nominations are now open.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nominations will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, November 18, and should be marked \u2018Australia Day 2023\u2019 and posted to City of Mount Gambier, PO Box 56, Mount Gambier SA 5290 or emailed to city@mountgambier.sa.gov.au Nomination forms and guidelines are available from the Civic Centre, Mount Gambier Library, Mount Gambier Visitor Centre and the Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre or online at www.mountgambier.sa.gov.au<\/a><\/p>\n
