{"id":5646,"date":"2023-01-18T12:51:41","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T12:51:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=5646"},"modified":"2023-11-06T12:54:17","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T12:54:17","slug":"robe-team-enjoys-success-at-kingston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/sport\/robe-team-enjoys-success-at-kingston\/","title":{"rendered":"Robe team enjoys success at Kingston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Twilight &#038; social bowls also return to Robe greens<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was great to see full rinks again for twilight bowls at the Robe Bowling Club. <\/p>\n<p>Social bowls on Thursday afternoon saw visitors from Darwin, and regulars from Mortlake and Horsham. <\/p>\n<p>There were 33 players who played 2 bowl triples and 3 bowl pairs. <\/p>\n<p>Five teams managed to win two games with Darren Grant, Dean Nankivell and Nola Peel finishing second on 54 points just behind winners Helen Lynch and Errol Jennings on 56 points. <\/p>\n<p>Lorraine Dening won both raffle draws, so chook and wine for dinner Thursday night in the Dening household. <\/p>\n<p>The Xmas Raffle drawn on December 22 was won by Mark Murphy, 2nd Anne Sneath and 3rd Robin Ling. <\/p>\n<p>Open bowls was cancelled last Saturday due to the weather. <\/p>\n<p>Stephen Kennett, David Robinson, Josh Waddell &#038; Errol Jennings attended the two day carnival in Kingston erlier this month with some success, winning the second day\u2019s competition. <\/p>\n<p>On Australia Day there will be a fundraiser for the Robe 2 Recovery with bowls, raffles, bbq and pie floaters. <\/p>\n<p>Names in by 12.30pm to play bowls. <\/p>\n<p><strong>KINGSTON SUCCESS<\/strong>: Josh Waddell, Stephen Kennett, Errol Jennings &#038; David Robinson<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twilight &#038; social bowls also return to Robe greens It was great to see full rinks again for twilight bowls at the Robe Bowling Club.
