The Millicent Bowls Club held the Veteran\u2019s Singles last week. The ladies took to the greens on Wednesday with games played with the first player reaching 21 shots declared the winner of each game. To take part in this competition all players must be 70 years or over in age.<\/p>\n
In the ladies the grand final came down to Lyn Scudds (above right) taking on Faye Hill (above left). After the first five ends of the game Lyn was up by seven shots with the score 8 to 1 then Faye started to fight her way back and by the 13th end the score sat at Lyn 10 shots to Faye 7. Lyn, by the 20th end had a demanding lead sitting at 20 shots to Faye 13, with Lyn only requiring 1 shot to take out the game but Faye didn\u2019t give up and the game continued for another two ends before Lyn reached the target of 21 to give her the title of Ladies Veterans Singles Champion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
