In a celebration of local produce and regional spirit, the Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society is set to launch its first ever Sow and Savor Soir\u00e8e in March next year. The event promises to be an exquisite culinary journey, celebrating the harvest of the local region.<\/p>\n
The brainchild of young locals and committee members, the event aims to pay homage to the hardworking individuals who cultivate the district with passion and dedication. With a fun and enjoyable evening planned, the event is poised to become an annual tradition that fosters a strong sense of pride in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n
Business and events manager Emmelie Nijskens said the black tie evening would encompass a five-course culinary journey with matching wines and live music, in a unique setting.<\/p>\n
\u201cSimilar experiences are hosted in other regions, but we saw this opportunity in Hamilton and thought it aligned perfectly with the P & A Society,\u201d Emmelie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe event will give us the chance to showcase local produce whilst also giving the local (Farmers) an opportunity to wind down after the harvest season concludes. We\u2019ve already got some great support from the community, so very eager to see this all come together.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Society has collaborated with local chef Jordan Lanigan (pictured), of The Speckled Frog, to craft the menu.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re stoked to bring something like this to the Hamilton region,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cWe have sourced some fantastic local producers who we will work with to compose a vibrant menu, which showcases some of the finest products in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018Sow and Savor Soir\u00e8e\u2019 is set to take place on Saturday, March 16, next year in a unique setting at the Hamilton Showgrounds and tickets will be on sale in the coming week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
