The premier agricultural event held in this region, the South East Field Days, is fast approaching and the 2024 program for the 44th instalment of the event promises another bumper two days.<\/p>\n
With more than 500 exhibitors the focus is on showcasing the latest in agricultural products, services, and equipment and chairman Kevin Baker is excited to by how the March 15 and 16 event is shaping up.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe field days committee continue to fine tune and move with current trends and strive to make our field days a successful and enjoyable event for both the exhibitors and the general public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you to our valued sponsors of the field days, with your continued support our entertainment officer has booked some new and exciting attractions to interest a vast demographic of the population.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur site improvements are ongoing with upgrades to our toilets and shower blocks, irrigation equipment and Yard Dog area, this enhances the experience of attending the event for exhibitors and the public alike.\u201d<\/p>\n
There are entertainment options for both young and old as well as a multitude of food and locally sourced wines.<\/p>\n
TC Trickz Motorbike Show; The Post & Rail\u2019s Cindy Bunt; Can Am- Addicted to Mud; Circus Elements; Old MacDonald\u2019s Farm; Burrungule Park Laser Tag; SA Police Band, horse carriage rides and ultimate helicopter rides headline the 2024 program.<\/p>\n
TC Trickz is an exciting motorbike stunt show with more than 20 years of competitions all over the globe, including performances in Asia, Europe and the United States to display the unique motorcycle skill set they hold.<\/p>\n
Tim Coleman and his friends push the limits to bring you an action packed show with stunts inspired by BMX, Enduro and freestyle motorcross to their own unique show, bringing a combination of technical riding mixed up with tricks such as, 180s, splats, inverted wheelies, nose wheelies, backflips and laugh out loud comical moments.<\/p>\n
Cindy Bunt, who runs The Post & Rail, an art, gardening and cooking school, is set to share her home cooking skills with demonstrations throughout the two days.<\/p>\n
The sessions on Friday will see Cindy preserving the harvest demonstration, using the fowlers method, as she shares her tips for getting started in preserving without fancy gadgets.<\/p>\n
Dill pickled zucchini and fruit in vanilla syrup will be on the menu for that demonstration, while she will also run a session on making passata from scratch with just two ingredients with more preserving tricks and tips, with a third session focusing on cooking with seasonal produce, including making pesto from scratch with garden herbs, as well as her 15 second aioli.<\/p>\n
The Saturday sessions will see jam and chutney creation on the agenda; making pasta from scratch and creating a seasonal garden sauce; quick and delicious naan bread and preserving lemons.<\/p>\n
Circus Elements, a cohort of street performers headed by Scott Griffin, will be back at Yakka Park, at Lucindale, as will Rob\u2019s Carriages with his stage coach, while the SA Police Band have<\/p>\n
The South Australian Yard Dog Association State Championships are always a highlight as well as the Scrap Metal Art Competition.<\/p>\n
The South East Field Days are a project of the Lucindale Lions Club and any profit generated goes straight back to the community by way of donations to charities including cancer research, Hearing Dogs, Caring Kids as well as supporting local clubs and schools in the South East and Western Victoria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
