{"id":8799,"date":"2024-03-03T04:31:49","date_gmt":"2024-03-02T17:31:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=8799"},"modified":"2024-03-01T09:34:57","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T22:34:57","slug":"financial-boost-on-offer-for-child-care-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/news\/financial-boost-on-offer-for-child-care-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial boost on offer for Child Care sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Member for Barker Tony Pasin is encouraging community childcare centres in Barker to apply for funding through the Federal Government\u2019s Community Child Care Fund (CCCF).<\/p>\n<p>Grant funding is available to help improve the service\u2019s sustainability as well as capital support grants to improve existing early childhood education and care facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccessibility of childcare is critical to regional economies,\u201d Mr Pasin said. \u201cAvailable, affordable and reliable childcare allows families to participate in the local workforce. This perpetuates more regional jobs and growth, benefiting the whole community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFamilies across Barker remain on long waiting lists for childcare while those able to access childcare are bracing for higher childcare fees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m encouraging existing centres across Barker to think about applying for the funding available through the CCCF to improve facilities and services that will ultimately benefit the entire local community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since 2018 the CCCF has been helping early childhood education and care services across rural, regional and remote Australia remain open, become financially sustainable and increase their capacity to offer increased services for more families.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible centres are able to apply for up to $300,000 for capital works or up to $400,000 for sustainability and support.<\/p>\n<p>Applications close March 8.<\/p>\n<p>For more information go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grants.gov.au\">www.grants.gov.au<\/a> or contact <a href=\"mailto:Tony.Pasin.MP@aph.gov.au\">Tony.Pasin.MP@aph.gov.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Member for Barker Tony Pasin is encouraging community childcare centres in Barker to apply for funding through the Federal Government\u2019s Community Child Care Fund (CCCF).
