The Annual Mount Gambier Baseball Masters is on again as it returns to the Mount for its 17th time on April 26 which is fully sanctioned by the Australian Baseball Federation.<\/p>\n
Nine teams will be competing in this year\u2019s tournament and they have been split into two divisions with both those divisions playing off for medallions.<\/p>\n
Competing teams are Adelaide Aces, Adelaide L\u2019aces, Northern Aces Blue and Grey all from Adelaide while Alfredton will represent Ballarat for the first time and Diamond Dogs return from Melbourne.<\/p>\n
Local team Misfits, a mixture of local players while the Legends will field two teams, Blue and Gold making up the nine teams.<\/p>\n
Northern Aces Blue, Alberton, Misfits and Legends Blue make up Division 1 whilst Adelaide Aces, Adelaide L\u2019aces, a women\u2019s team, Legends Gold, Northern Aces Grey and Diamond Dogs comprise Division 2.<\/p>\n
Two games will be played Friday night under lights at Blue Lake Sports Park baseball diamonds with Legends Blue playing Alfredton at 6pm while Legends Gold are drawn against Diamond Dogs.<\/p>\n
The Mount Gambier Softball Association has kindly agreed for the Legends to use their Diamond 2 again over the weekend which will bring all games into closer proximity to each other.<\/p>\n
Games commence at 8am on Saturday morning with the final round robin games commencing Sundays draw also at 8am and medallion games commencing at 10am with the Division 1 Gold medal game scheduled to start at 1.30pm.<\/p>\n
