<\/p>\nGrant High School students have got their heads in the game and are ready to rock the stage for their 2024 school production High School Musical on Stage.<\/p>\n
This pop culture musical will show on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, at Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre in Mount Gambier.<\/p>\n
Director Abbey Marston-Kleeman said the musical afforded students the opportunity to delve into the amazing world of performing arts and develop friendships across year levels.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted a musical that was able to connect with the entire community, hence why we chose High School Musical on Stage, we knew it would be a hit with everyone,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The musical follows the relationship between Troy, a high school jock, and Gabriella, the new girl at school, and explores the universal themes of friendship, love and acceptance.<\/p>\n
Student Zoey Norman, who plays Gabriella, said she was inspired to audition for the show after being part of the musical back in 2022 and loving it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was an amazing and memorable experience,\u201d Zoey said. \u201cWhen I found out about the musical this year, I knew I wanted to audition again.”<\/p>\n
