BARWON Heads skiing sensation Jakara Anthony will look back on the 2023-24 FIS World Cup with fond memories after completing the best moguls season of all time.<\/p>\n
Anthony put the final touches on her historic season with one last win in Valmalenco, Italy a fortnight ago, rebreaking her own season record with a 14th World Cup moguls win.<\/p>\n
A dual moguls win over rival Jaelin Kauf – a common theme over the campaign – secured Anthony’s 14th win from a possible 16 moguls events.<\/p>\n
The win takes her season wins to seven apiece in both the dual and singles formats.<\/p>\n
“It’s seriously crazy,” Anthony said following her final event of the season.<\/p>\n
“I’m going to have some big luggage issues getting back to Australia tomorrow.<\/p>\n
“The season’s been absolutely wild. It’s hard to put it into words, I’m super-proud of what I’ve been able to achieve with my team around me.”<\/p>\n
Anthony now has her eyes set on more glory, which comes a bad sign to her competitors, who were all more than 416 points off this year’s overall champion.<\/p>\n
“World championships gold is about the only thing I don’t have now, and then we’ve got Milano-Cortina coming up, the first dual moguls in the Olympics,” Anthony said.<\/p>\n
“We’re going to keep ticking along just like we (have been), try to change things every year and get better.”<\/p>\n
