A LIVE production podcast Bang On is going on tour this year with a visit to Bendigo scheduled in April.<\/p>\n
Hosted by music journalists and long-standing friends Myf Warhurst and Zan Rowe, the podcast discusses art, music, and culture in an upbeat and conversational format.<\/p>\n
The pair created Bang On in 2017 and saw it grow into a community during the years that Australia was in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
“For me it was a connection to the outside world at that point because I was living alone and going through some stuff,” said co-host Myf Warhurst.<\/p>\n
The podcast has continued to develop as a place for listeners to tune in and feel a sense of connection, with the presenters referring to their audience as the ‘Bang Fam’.<\/p>\n
“They might be going through some stuff or have moved cities or towns and don’t know anyone and they say it often feels like they’ve got friends,” Warhurst said.<\/p>\n
Warhurst, who grew up in regional Victoria, said she’s excited to bring the podcast to Bendigo to meet their listeners in the area.<\/p>\n
“People just love being in a room full of like-minded people who love the podcast but also speak our language and share our ideas and love to have a good laugh.”<\/p>\n
Bang On Live will feature de-briefs of the biggest conversations from the week, as well as live answers to audience questions, and the opportunity to interact with the hosts and other members of the audience.<\/p>\n
Tickets are now on sale for the 6 April show at Ulumbarra Theatre.<\/p>\n
