LOCAL Laura Taylor will return to the Ballarat Miners for this year’s NBL1 season.<\/p>\n
Standing six feet tall, Taylor is a guard forward who has played collegiate basketball at Weber State University in the United States.<\/p>\n
Before her collegiate experience, Taylor attended Ballarat Grammar and played representative level in Junior VJBL teams, and for the Youth League side before joining the NBL1 team.<\/p>\n
She said she is looking forward to playing with the Miners again.<\/p>\n
“I am beyond excited and proud to be a Miner and be back playing in front of my hometown again,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I have appreciated the endless support during my college career and now it’s time to be back on home soil.<\/p>\n
“I can’t wait to be a part of this excellent program and help my team get back to finals as I know there is unfinished business.”<\/p>\n
Ballarat Basketball CEO Neville Ivey said it is great to see Taylor return home.<\/p>\n
“Laura’s return underscores our commitment to nurturing local talent and providing pathways for our athletes,” he said.<\/p>\n
“We’re proud to see her come full circle and are confident she’ll be a key player for the Miners in 2025.”<\/p>\n
