Established in 1991 and based in Torquay since 1999, Joe Issell Painting services the Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula and Geelong.

Moving into Torquay’s West Coast Business Park three years ago has allowed the company to expand and offer clients an even better service.

The business premises is large enough to house the business’ own 15-metre spider lift, scissor lift, vehicles and trailers, scaffolding, as well as all of the equipment that goes with running a painting business.

Being environmentally minded, the team at Joe Issell Painting wash up all equipment using the Dulux Enviro wash system, which eliminates any paint residue ending up in client’s gardens.

Joe Issell Painting has also just put a 6.6 kw solar system on the factory roof to further minimise their environmental impact.

Joe has worked in the painting industry for 35 years and has been running his own company for 30 of those.

The business is a member of the Master Painters Association and has been involved with the Dulux Accredited Business program since 2005, having sat on the advisory group for six of those.

Joe said it was a long time to have been swinging a brush, so about four years ago he made a conscious effort to move off the tools and work on building a team of painters who had the same passion and desire to complete projects to the highest standards with customer satisfaction being paramount.

“Having a team of five painters including an apprentice allows us to make sure every job we complete is to the highest standard,” Joe said.

“We may not be the biggest company, but the skills, pride and respect for our clients and their projects has built a big repeat customer base.”
