We wish him the best with all future endeavours.\u201d<br \/>\nUndoubtedly one of Australia\u2019s most exciting modern rock acts, Kingswood are fresh from supporting AC\/DC on their recent national tour.<br \/>\nVocalist and guitarist Laska said the feeling of playing with their heroes was impossible to describe.<br \/>\n\u201cThere isn\u2019t really much one can say about touring with ACDC, childhood dreams being realised generally results in a loss for words.\u201d<br \/>\nThe band has performed at numerous festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Big Day Out, Groovin\u2019 The Moo and Falls Festival.<br \/>\nIn 2014, they returned from Nashville after recording their debut album with Grammy Awardwinning producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, The Raconteurs).<br \/>\nThat album, Microscopic Wars, had a top 10 debut in the national ARIA charts and went on to receive an ARIA Nomination for Best Rock Album.<br \/>\nTheir Torquay show is one of their last before going in to record their new album, slated for release around the middle of this year.<br \/>\nKingswood will perform at Torquay Hotel on Sunday March 27, with doors opening at 8pm.<br \/>\nTickets are $28.60 including booking fee and can be purchased at oztix.com.au, with any remaining tickets available on the door.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Melbourne\u2019s Kingswood are down a member, but it won\u2019t stop them from putting on one of their trademark rollicking shows at the Torquay Hotel on Sunday.
