The Anglesea resident was also a staff member at Foundation 61 and an Ambulance Victoria volunteer who touched many people’s lives with his infectious smile, laugh and positive attitude to life.<\/p>\n
According to an Anglesea Football Netball Club spokesperson, Mr Lobbe was an incredibly generous and positive man.<\/p>\n
“The AFNC family on Wednesday lost one of our most amazing club members, Dean Lobbe.<\/p>\n
“He was an incredibly generous and positive influence on all who knew him and epitomised all that is good about our community and our club.<\/p>\n
“Life member and legend. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Dean’s family.”<\/p>\n
The Foundation 61 team also expressed how much his service had meant to the community.<\/p>\n
“Dean will be remembered for his unswerving faith, his love of nature and all things outdoors, his sense of adventure and most of all dedication and love towards his family,” a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
“He was a great mentor and encourager to the Foundation 61 fellas and gave many the opportunity to experience new things by sharing his love for adventure.<\/p>\n
“Dean celebrated people and always had a unique way of making special days extra special.”<\/p>\n
In Mr Lobbe’s honour and to acknowledge his love for Anzac Day, the Anglesea FNC last weekend awarded the Spirit of Anzac medal to the players exemplifying the Anzac spirit in reserve and seniors grades.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
