{"id":104227,"date":"2023-06-01T04:00:47","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T18:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=104227"},"modified":"2023-06-01T08:52:22","modified_gmt":"2023-05-31T22:52:22","slug":"paws-and-pints-returns-at-4-pines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/paws-and-pints-returns-at-4-pines\/","title":{"rendered":"Paws and Pints returns at 4 Pines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 250 locals and their four-legged friends gathered at 4 Pines Brewery in Torquay on Sunday for the return of Paws and Pints, an event series that showcases local pet businesses while raising money for Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS).<\/p>\n<p>The return of the event for 2023 was a welcome sight for attendees, who enjoyed a selection of beers of both the human and dog kind, plenty of snacks and the opportunity to explore a series of local pet vendor stalls.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_104239\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-104239\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-104239 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/05\/kljljkljk_09004-1-600x380.jpg?_t=1685495287\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-104239\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Happy dogs enjoyed dog beers and plenty of snacks on the day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Seven local businesses were showcased on the day: Furry Tails Mobile Hydrobath, Citizen Kanine (dog nutrition and supplements), DG Paws (dog accessories), Crazydog Solutions (dog trainer), Pawty Pals (dog party shop), Paw-fect Pets (dog supplies, treats, etc.) and The Pet Shop Torquay.<\/p>\n<p>Hourly raffles also took place throughout the day, with prizes donated by the local vendors and all proceeds going towards GAWS.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_104240\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-104240\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-104240 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/05\/lkjkl_08958-1-600x380.jpg?_t=1685495318\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-104240\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">More than 250 locals turned out for the event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4 Pine Brewery Torquay venue manager Courtney McPhee said the event was again well received.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The event went exceptionally well, we had over 250 people and countless dogs through the venue over the 4 hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We at 4 Pines absolutely adore our furry four-legged friends &#8211; it was fantastic to see all of our regular pups, and many new faces enjoying the experience.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have been running the event since November 2021 and plan to continue as it has been a great success.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Overall, the $200 we raised over the weekend bring our total donations to GAWS to almost $1,000, which is just amazing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_104241\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-104241\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-104241 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/05\/hgfj_08754-1-600x380.jpg?_t=1685495357\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-104241\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The team from Furry Tails Mobile Hydrobath were on hand for the day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ms McPhee said the venue was looking to secure their next date for Paws and Pints in the coming future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 250 locals and their four-legged friends gathered at 4 Pines Brewery in Torquay on Sunday for the return of Paws and Pints, an event series that showcases local pet businesses while raising money for Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS).
