SATURDAY\u2019S auction of six vacant lots and an older style two-bedroom cottage and shedding on former Barwon Water land at the corner of Parker and Harvey Street Anglesea drew a large crowd of over 100 excited onlookers and keen bidders.<\/p>\n

With a full contingent of Hayden Real Estate<\/a> representatives present, the auction got underway with much excitement as this opportunity to purchase large parcels of vacant land in Anglesea is a rare occurrence.\u00a0\u00a0Bids came strongly and quickly from a diverse bidder group made up of locals, holidaymakers, sea-changers and investors, who pushed the vacant land price up to $595,000 for 62 Parker Street and the cottage site at 69B Harvey Street to $660,000.<\/p>\n

Hayden Real Estate\u2019s Andrew Wright said that the interest in the rare opportunity was exceptionally strong.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWe had more 160 enquiries on these properties with interest coming from Torquay, Melbourne and locally,\u201d Mr Wright said.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cThere were around 14 separate bidders altogether, who created strong competition for this unique release.\u201d<\/p>\n
