Started in late 2015 in a little Torquay beach shack by Surf Coast resident Kate Williams, Retreat Yourself was born with a vision of creating a healthier and happier world; by encouraging self-care and a holistically healthy approach to life.<\/p>\n
Retreat Yourself does this by providing customers with all the tools to create a life of wellness, including products, resources, people, activities and information, all packaged up in a multi-sensory, interactive, colourful and beautifully presented “retreat in a box”.<\/p>\n
And because, as humans, our wellness needs differ with the changing seasons, the team at Retreat Yourself releases a new box every three months, delivered straight to your door on the first day of each new season for the ultimate at-home self-care experience for yourself or someone else.<\/p>\n
Seven years on, Retreat Yourself has now shipped out more than 250,000 retreat boxes to women across Australia, received more than 7,000 reviews, sampled more than two million Australian- and NZ-owned wellness products in their boxes, and now calls the West Coast Business Park home, employing up to 30 locals per year.<\/p>\n
Each of their seasonal boxes include more than $300 of full-sized Australian- and NZ-owned products, providing a platform for lesser-known but wholeheartedly deserving brands to find their way into the hands and homes of Australian women.<\/p>\n
The meticulously curated boxes feature products from brands which focus on hair care, skin and body care, lifestyle and home products, healthy food products and beauty essentials, all with a focus on ‘better for you’ ingredients and considered manufacturing processes.<\/p>\n
The products sit alongside a dedicated booklet to provide information about the beautiful brands, the people who are behind the different products, why the products have been created and how they can help you live a healthier and more fulfilled life.<\/p>\n
And because living a holistically healthy life includes much more than just the products you use on a day-to-day basis, the box also includes a specially created playlist to support the theme of the box, as well as a 36-page “Retreat Guide” providing interactive written and video activities such as journaling, yoga and meditation.<\/p>\n
From the start, Kate vowed to include a huge amount of love and passion in every single box, which those who have received a Retreat Yourself Box before will vouch for.<\/p>\n
And now, with husband Andrew and many of Kate’s Torquay-based family and friends also contributing to the business, as well as her young son Charlie often running around the warehouse, it’s become a true family affair.<\/p>\n
