Many people approaching retirement feel daunted by the next steps.<\/p>\n

If part of that consideration is where to live, you’re probably familiar with the term “downsizing”. In general, this means moving from a larger to a smaller home, and in many cases freeing up equity to alleviate financial pressure.<\/p>\n

Downsizing can be an appealing option, especially if you’re worried about home maintenance on a large, or deteriorating, family home, or you want somewhere you can safely “lock up and leave” while you set out to explore the country.<\/p>\n
