Eco-Logic Education and Environment Services have been spreading their passion for the natural world and immersing kids in the amazing environment of the Surf Coast for more than 25 years.<\/p>\n

Eco-Logic hosts hundreds of school groups every year to participate in hands-on, experiential-based learning.<\/p>\n

We are situated where the Great Otway National Park meets the Southern Ocean, including Marine Protected Areas and the iconic Bells Beach – a fantastic backdrop for learning.<\/p>\n

The Eco-Logic team are passionate about the environment they teach within, guiding children to engage with and understand the diverse range of habitats and experiences on offer. Staff hold degrees in either teaching or science, and have great local knowledge of the place in which they choose to live and teach.<\/p>\n

Eco-Logic Education also manages the Split Point lighthouse and has been doing so for 18 years.<\/p>\n

Eco-Logic crew, all locally based, staff the lighthouse while it is open for visitors \u2013 every day of the year (weather dependent)!<\/p>\n

Based on our passion for education and the environment, Eco-logic , as managers of Split Point Lighthouse, are running a short story competition based around the lighthouse.<\/p>\n

We love Split Point lighthouse’s history and the stories connected with it, but we really want kids of today to make it their own!<\/p>\n

If you are a budding young author, or you are a parent or teacher with a budding young author, please get involved – especially if you’re a primary or secondary student from a school that has worked with Eco-Logic.<\/p>\n

Go for a tour of the lighthouse to get some inspiration! Eco-Logic’s knowledgeable staff can introduce you to the fantastic role of lighthouses, engineering perfection, a pristine marine sanctuary and local cultural connections. Go up the magnificent cast iron spiral staircase, through the lantern room and out onto the balcony to enjoy a 360-degree bird’s-eye view of the dramatic coastline.<\/p>\n

Let your imagination run wild!<\/p>\n
