Photos: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe had 58 kids registered for NetSetGO over 14 weeks dating back to April, it was quite a lengthy season for the program, but the kids absolutely loved it,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had plenty of parent helpers to make last Friday a fun occasion, despite the windy conditions, but we can\u2019t wait to get next season underway and hopefully invite even more future netballers to the program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Roberts stated the Surf Coast\u2019s NetSetGO program is aiming to create enough of a base for the club to establish an Under 9s netball side.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 492px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/345161780_6121411209_79785.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"492\" height=\"369\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">NetSetGO is catered towards 5-10 year-olds looking to get into netball.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>An Under 9s netball side would create a bridge between NetSetGO and the rest of the Suns\u2019 junior age groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had a big uptake in participation in 2023, so much so we were able to run the program on most, if not all, outdoor courts each Friday night,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe long-term vision for this is to eventually run summer programs which would make NetSetGO and other junior programs accessible to local families all-year round.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been involved in coordinating the program for the past three years and it\u2019s been terrific to see the community continue to remain engaged with netball.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 346px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/346301425_1927774365_79782.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"346\" height=\"461\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This season&#8217;s NetSetGO program was the largest ever for Surf Coast Football Netball Club.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To register for future NetSetGO programs, head to <strong>www.surfcoastsuns.com\u00a0<\/strong>or email\u00a0<strong>netsetgo@surfcoastsuns.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Surf Coast Suns Football and Netball Club is celebrating another successful season of NetSetGO following the club\u2019s final session of the year last week.
