SURF COAST locals are being told to expect only minor traffic and car parking disruptions on the Surf Coast during the World Surf League (WSL) Bioglan Bells Beach Longboard Classic.<\/p>\n

The event, which kicks off on Wednesday (August 30) will have a significantly smaller impact and footprint than the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach event over Easter.<\/p>\n

The site footprint will only be as big as the Bells Beach carpark hammerhead, with limited infrastructure.<\/p>\n

There will be minor disruptions in the lower car park at Bells Beach from August 25 to September 2.<\/p>\n

The event will have a significantly smaller footprint than the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

The main event will be a maximum four-day waiting period, with a three-day set up and two-day pack-up.<\/p>\n

Surf breaks will be open to the public during set-up and bump-out.<\/p>\n

Along with existing fencing, additional measures will be implemented to the areas surrounding the site to protect vegetation and cultural heritage values.<\/p>\n

In 2023, the event will wrap up ahead of Father\u2019s Day to ensure Bells Beach is open to the public to celebrate the day.<\/p>\n
