FOR the fifth year running, Geelong After Dark has transformed the city\u2019s streets into living and breathing works of art.<\/p>\n
The multi-sensory event is a unique celebration of the arts, where artists explore new technologies using the cityscape as their canvas.<\/p>\n
Interactive experiences include projections on buildings and walls; installations and street art down laneways; theatre on street corners; music on steps and under balconies and costumed characters in buildings alongside illuminations in the park.<\/p>\n
This combined with music and dancing in public spaces sees over 18,000 people converge on the town centre.<\/p>\n
Minister for tourism and events John Eren launched Geelong After Dark in the forecourt of Barwon Water and said it was another chance to attract visitors to the town.<\/p>\n
\u201cGeelong After Dark is a wonderful opportunity to welcome more visitors to our region, support jobs and generate more business for our restaurants, bars and clubs,\u201d Mr Eren said.<\/p>\n
