Local award-winning chef Matt Dempsey of Gladioli and Tulip restaurants is the festival\u2019s ambassador for 2016 and will share his wealth of knowledge and experience in seeking local produce and the importance of sustainable practices.<br \/>\nArrive early to see the live children\u2019s entertainment on the main stage, followed by big-name local and interstate performers, ride the mechanical surfboard or slide down the giant inflatable shark. A sustainable marketplace will be open for perusal, with makers and shakers showing their sustainable wares and offering greener solutions for a wide range of products.<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t forget to bring a refillable water bottle (a Barwon Water Hydration Station will be on site), a picnic rug or camp chairs, and some warm layers.<br \/>\nThe Sustainable Hook and Vine Festival is on Saturday April 9 at Torquay Common.<br \/>\nTickets are $20 for adults, $18 concession, and free for children under 18.
