THE Doing Imperfect Inner Growth For Groups (DIIGG) Wellbeing team is inviting locals to attend a community connection event next month.<\/p>\n

The November 5 event at The Sands in Torquay will encourage men and women to “survive, thrive and aspire to be healthy, wealthy and wise”.<\/p>\n

All funds raised from the event will help enable DIIGG Wellbeing to successfully transform into a non-for-profit organisation.<\/p>\n

DIIGG Wellbeing is a local mens health group with a passionate mission to help provide men with a platform to connect and be vulnerable with each other, particularly targeting those who feel they are becoming disconnected from their community.<\/p>\n

Sessions are run once a month at a different Surf Coast venue with a special guest speaker attending each time.<\/p>\n

Next month, locals be able to hear from local educator and director at Woodline Primary School in Ceres, Lael Stone, and Gotcha4Life founder and mental health advocate Gus Worland.<\/p>\n

Both speakers share a mission to create wellness and a safe space for all people to thrive and connect.<\/p>\n

DIIGG founder Michael Judd said excitement was high for the upcoming event.<\/p>\n

“Firstly, its for both men and women, which we are really pumped about.<\/p>\n

“Our two speakers are experts in mental health, wellbeing, emotional, spiritual and financial areas.<\/p>\n

“We had Lael speak at an event not long ago, and many of the fathers and men went back home and told their partners and women in their lives about it.<\/p>\n

“We went back to the leadership team and thought the community event was an amazing way for both men and women to hear from us.<\/p>\n

“We hope the event informs the community of our offerings, gives people the opportunity to connect and helps us to fundraise for our transition into hopefully becoming a not-for profit.<\/p>\n

“We can’t wait to hear from Lael and Gus, we are very lucky to have them.”<\/p>\n

Mr Judd said if DIIGG is successful in becoming a not-for-profit organisation, it will give them deductible gift recipient status, allowing them to provide a tax deduction on any donation to their success over two dollars.<\/p>\n

Any other funds raised will allow them to grow their offering into Geelong and throughout Australia, which is Mr Judd’s dream.<\/p>\n

Silent auctions and lucky door prizes will be conducted on the night with auction items sourced from valued local and non-local artisans and businesses.<\/p>\n

Hot and cold canapes will be served throughout the night, while beverages can be purchased at bar prices.<\/p>\n

The event is supported by the Art of the Minds mental health month offering and kicks off at 5:30pm.<\/p>\n
