THOUSANDS visited Lorne Foreshore to attend the Lorne Market, which raised more than $6,000 for Lorne P-12 College.<\/p>\n
Saturday\u2019s event featured more than 100 artisan displays and stalls of handmade goods, secondhand clothing, gifts and local produce.<\/p>\n
Live music was provided on foreshore by the school\u2019s band and ensembles.<\/p>\n
Lorne P-12 College principal Carly Stafford said the day went very well.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe weather and vibe could not have been any better, it was such a happy time and a great success.<\/p>\n
\u201cStallholders and visitors both commented on how popular the market continues to become, and what a great asset it is to the Lorne community.<\/p>\n
\u201cA huge thanks to those who attended and to our wonderful stallholders and volunteers.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said all funds from the market would be going towards building projects at the school.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are working on a new playground space and outdoor area, so all our funds will go straight towards this.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese facilities will not only be available for our students to use, but also for the local community to enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n
The next Lorne Market is already a stallholder sell-out and will take place over the Easter long weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
