It\u2019s more about people looking forward for the season to start, and for more snow to come, and to get up there and get a couple of runs in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Queen\u2019s Birthday long weekend traditionally signals the start of the Victorian snow season, and the Mount Buller, Falls Creek, Mount Hotham and Mount Baw Baw resorts are staging events and activities for those making the trip up the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>Mount Buller has been preparing for the start of the winter since mid-April when the SnowFactory began producing a huge stockpile of snow on its Bourke Street run, and ski lifts general manager Laurie Blampied said he is looking forward to getting his skis back on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur snowmaking team fired up the SnowFactory a month ago and we\u2019ve been watching the snow piles growing by the day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On May 16, Hotham was blanketed in 30 centimetres of snow \u2013 its biggest May snowfall since 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Blunt Skateboarding and Snow is in Shop 2, Surf City Plaza, Torquay.
