URBNSURF Tullamarine was the scene for the fourth annual Melbourne SurfAid Cup last Friday, with surfers demonstrating their skills to support SurfAid’s vital fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n
The event saw the surfing community, including the prominent surf-lifestyle brand Mambo, rally together to raise $53,364 for the organisation’s work with women and children in remote communities of Indonesia and the Solomon Islands.<\/p>\n
Team Mambo defended their title as event champions, with a team packed with talent such as Blake Thornton, Nathan Sheahan, and Ronan Ball.<\/p>\n
Thornton, who was also the Mambo Junior Pro Surf Team coach, said his team was thrilled to take the Melbourne SurfAid Cup title again.<\/p>\n
“URBNSURF delivered the perfect wave, and our epic Mambo surf team crushed it.”<\/p>\n
“We’re proud to support SurfAid’s awesome work, and seeing everyone rocking our Mambo competition merch was the cherry on top.”<\/p>\n
SurfAid head of partnerships and donors Claire Stafford said the SurfAid Cup 2024 at URBNSURF Melbourne was an incredible day bringing together the surfing community for a good cause.<\/p>\n
“It is inspiring to see such wonderful support of SurfAid’s core mission to improve the lives of families in remote areas of Indonesia and the Solomon Islands \u2013 areas connected to us through surfing.<\/p>\n
