Since 2013, Ocean Grind have been roasting and supplying specialty coffee for homes, cafes and shops along the Surf Coast.<\/p>\n
During the past couple of years their coffee roastery\/caf\u00e9 has become a bit of a haven away from the busier parts of Torquay.<\/p>\n
They offer takeaway coffees Monday to Friday, along with tasty snacks from That Place Patisserie and food trucks on certain days.<\/p>\n
Quality is the main priority here as they strive to showcase their product.<\/p>\n
The friendly team also love chatting with customers about their home coffee needs.<\/p>\n
Owner and head roaster Mark Clatworthy said his business liked to make coffee approachable for everyone, and helped advise people of how to improve their coffee at home, as well as encouraging customers to try different origins or brew methods.<\/p>\n
The shop area contains the full range of coffee blends, plus a range of coffee making equipment for your home \u2013 from stovetop percolators to high end espresso machines, along with a range of grinders and accessories.<\/p>\n
They also offer barista training classes every Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
Besides their passion for coffee, Ocean Grind have a strong sustainability ethos, providing discounts for BYO coffee cups and BYO containers for beans and supporting environmental initiatives such as Tangaroa Blue.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a great spot to hang out and enjoy a quiet coffee with friends or have a quick match on the ping pong table!<\/p>\n
Ocean Grind is located at 10b Sawmills Way, Torquay, and is open Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 2pm.<\/p>\n
