{"id":13625,"date":"2018-06-20T01:51:12","date_gmt":"2018-06-19T15:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=13625"},"modified":"2018-06-22T09:37:06","modified_gmt":"2018-06-21T23:37:06","slug":"rock-up-and-play-netball-in-torquay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/sport\/rock-up-and-play-netball-in-torquay\/","title":{"rendered":"Rock up and play netball in Torquay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE time is right for new or returning netballers to get back into netball in Torquay, with a new Rock Up Netball licensee signing on in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Torquay YMCA will offer a social competition to women in the area, targeted at those new to the sport, returning to netball, or who want to get involved in a less-serious competition.<\/p>\n<p>The competition is run in a more relaxed setting than regular competitions, with no uniforms included and is an affordable option for those not looking to compete seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Nina from Torquay YMCA said she was looking forward to incorporating Rock Up Netball into their community and welcome new people to netball.<\/p>\n<p>Some Rock Up Netball participants have shared their thoughts on taking part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bemrose: \u201cMy worries of being too rusty, old or unfit didn\u2019t stop me from giving it a go. The vibe of the competition has been great, and I\u2019ve found everyone incredibly friendly and supportive\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Helen: \u201cIt\u2019s really nice that people are coming together at different ages, fitness levels and experiences of netball\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Beverley: \u201cI really enjoy Rock Up Netball Social Comp.
