<\/p>\nTHE Women’s Sharing Shed and All Aboard disAbility Support Services have come together for a joint project.<\/p>\n
The collaboration between the two organisations started when All Aboard decided they wanted an engaging way to encourage hand sanitation regularly throughout the day.<\/p>\n
All Aboard DisAbility provides support to those in the Surf Coast community living with a disability with a range of programs and services.<\/p>\n
Through the generosity of the Women’s Shed, Sammy the sanitiser, was created, a humanlike figure that dispenses hand sanitiser.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Women’s Shed donated all the supplies for the project with Cindy Powers saying she’s “thankful to be able to learn new skills with the opportunity to help others”.<\/p>\n
The Women’s Shed is a community organisation where skills are shared in an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment.<\/p>\n
The creative minds at the Women’s Shed created Sammy to be portable with castors ready to be customised for every season, event, and footy championship by the wonderful participants at All Aboard.<\/p>\n

All Aboard chief executive Helen Cini said she’s very grateful to work with a group of enthusiastic women who eagerly took on the concept.<\/p>\n
“I’m also thankful that our charity can work with other local organisations who have a similar focus on community. Our participants are very excited to meet Sammy the sanitiser.”<\/p>\n
