Dr Rebecca Burns is the founder of Sequence Osteopathy, a busy clinic located within Yoke Yoga with six other talented osteopaths.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt all started after a phone call from my old neighbour, Chris Wilson, who offered me a space in his yoga studio. I had a six-week old baby at the time so it was a massive decision to make,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had previously set up and sold a clinic in Launceston, so knew all that was involved in establishing a new clinic. My plan was to set up my dream clinic many years down the track but this opportunity was too good to refuse. Luckily the renovations were delayed so my son Lenny was over a year old when we finally opened our doors in 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bec is a unique kind of osteo who is constantly challenging herself to undertake further trainings on her quest to combine her love of yoga and pilates with osteopathy. When asked to describe her vision, she said: \u201cI am super passionate about osteopathy and passionate about yoga – hence doing a diploma in yoga therapy so I wanted to be able to set up my dream clinic within a yoga studio.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bec has more than 10 years\u2019 of clinical experience. Running a busy practice and raising a toddler can be a handful, but Bec manages to strike the balance with great support from home, doing a regular yoga practice and taking holidays.<\/p>\n

Having others to workshop complex patients and refer to each other is a great advantage to give best patient outcomes.<\/p>\n

Bec is known for her strong hands and excellent problem solving skills for complex and chronic conditions. In addition to her five years at Victoria University, Bec has completed courses in remedial massage therapy, clinical pilates, yoga therapy and most recently birth attendant (doula) training, under the guidance of birthing guru Rhea Dempsey.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of my patients have seen numerous practitioners and been prescribed loads of exercises that they rarely do. My aim is to create personalised programs for people using a combination of yoga and traditional stretch and strength training.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
