Parents at loss with entertainment ideas for the kids these winter school holidays can rest assured thanks to the Love Winter in Aireys (LWIA) team who have put together a jam-packed program.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now in its seventh year, The Love Winter in Aireys festival is a highlight on the Surf Coast calendar featuring food, music, arts, literature and activities over June, July and August with Aireys Inlet as the backdrop.<\/p>\n

The first two weeks of July has activities to keep kids occupied and parents smiling, including this year\u2019s inaugural Mini Golf Championships at the newly opened Great Ocean Road Mini Golf.<\/p>\n

Teams of four can join in the fun made up of kids, adults or a mixture of both and Owner Matt Long said he wanted to create a carnival type of atmosphere that would appeal to kids and adults alike, with prize giveaways and a sausage sizzle.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many activities you can watch your children participate in but with mini golf, it\u2019s one in, all in and most parents can\u2019t help but want a piece of the fun,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe tournament will be broken into two categories of family groups and adult groups. We\u2019ve been overwhelmed by the number of adults coming through the mini golf, it\u2019s a great stress relief for people and doesn\u2019t take up a huge chunk of time, some fresh air and a few laughs do wonders.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fun doesn\u2019t stop there for kids with one of Airey\u2019s favourite eateries Truffles holding a Kids Pizza & Trivia Night on Wednesday, July 11 at 6pm – a perfect midweek treat.<\/p>\n

Their famous pizza will keep the kids\u2019 appetites at bay while the trivia will satisfy their curiosity.<\/p>\n

For the trivia loving adult, their chance arrives Wednesday July 4 at 6.30pm with the Adult Trivia & Pizza Night.<\/p>\n

Love Winter in Aireys is presented annually by the Aireys Inlet Tourism and Traders Association, with support from the Shire Coast Shire.<\/p>\n
