ADITI and Rachit Kapoor are revolutionising the way Indian food is served at their two Surf Coast restaurants.<\/p>\n

The pair presents authentic Indian cuisine with a unique contemporary twist and a progressive style at Torquay’s Jashn Courtyard and Lorne’s Raas Leela.<\/p>\n

Their vision is to present dishes curated on the cultures and originality of India, plated with a modern touch.<\/p>\n

Both restaurants offer chaat street food, something that sets them apart and makes them unique compared to other restaurants.<\/p>\n

The chaats offer traditional street food that’s sweet, savoury and spicy at the same time, providing an explosion of flavours.<\/p>\n

The pair is continuing to evolve and learn when it comes to the progressive Indian food they are offering, with Aditi saying: “The only constant in life is change.<\/p>\n

“At the moment people really want something that’s fun and exciting.<\/p>\n

“I think it makes things very monotonous if you keep doing the same thing again and again, not just for the guests, but also for the people cooking it and people serving it.<\/p>\n

“That’s why we like to change things up a little bit, and it just challenges us as well and gives us something interesting to do.”<\/p>\n

The chaats are also an opportunity for the restaurants to show people there’s more to Indian food than butter chicken.<\/p>\n

Lorne’s Raas Leela is also well known for its cocktails at the Karma Bar, while Torquay’s Whiskey Library is popular with its extensive collection of whisky from around the world.<\/p>\n
