Expert skin therapist and small business owner Lisa McAuliffe has headed back into the classroom, adding another qualification to her long list.<\/p>\n

The mum of two has completed a certificate IV in Training and Assessment at The Gordon, marking a new chapter in her 23-year career in the beauty industry.<\/p>\n

Ms McAuliffe started her career with a diploma of Beauty Therapy and has continued to develop her skills.<\/p>\n

\u201cI first graduated from beauty therapy studies at The Gordon in 2000 and became an industry leader with a loyal list of clients,” she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking back, I often discussed my intentions to explore opportunities of Vocational and Educational Training (VET) with my colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n

The certificate is designed to equip professionals with skills to train and assess in vocational education settings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a passion for quality education and I\u2019m looking forward to beginning my new pathway in providing exceptional training, by sharing my skills and knowledge,\u201d Ms McAuliffe said.<\/p>\n

Her new qualifications will allow her to contribute to the beauty therapy field in a new way, understanding the importance of staying current.<\/p>\n

Ms McAuliffe said she\u2019s always attended training to enhance her skills and learn the latest advancements in the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cConsidering the challenges I have conquered, and as a \u2018mature-aged\u2019 student, it is extremely rewarding to be able to empower others as an educator, when they are experiencing self-doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n

The beauty therapists\u2019 achievements haven\u2019t gone unnoticed, recently honoured as a recipient of an Excellence Award within The Gordon\u2019s business and Technology category.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is a positive role model with a passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to learning and excellence who will positively impact her future students,\u201d Training and Assessment teacher, Chris Blanch said.<\/p>\n
