THE Otway Argroforestry Network and Landcare are holding a one-day course in tree growing on Sunday July 8 in a most pristine pocket of natural beauty, the home of Otway Native Nursery, Katabanut at Jansil Court.<\/p>\n
This is a rare chance to see behind the scenes of a truly native nursery and learn skills in tree growing from the experts who have lived and worked in this thriving industry for many years. From tiny seed to plant maturity, the areas covered range from pruning and maintenance to live saw milling.<\/p>\n
The host Peter Fillmore has opened up his wonderful property for this course and welcomes anyone with an interest in tree growing, forestry and the environment to come along.<\/p>\n
It begins at 10am and finishes at 1.30pm. There\u2019s a barbecue lunch included, BYO water, snacks and appropriate clothing and footwear for a great day\u2019s learning (OAN members $5, nonmembers $15).<\/p>\n
This will also be a chance for anyone considering a sea\/tree change to take a good look at Katabanut, which is on the market with Great Ocean Road Real Estate.<\/p>\n
A move to the Apollo Bay area is perfect for anyone with a love of nature, and Katabanut has a lot to offer all escapees from town and city life.<\/p>\n
