Phone 5264 8207.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUEENSCLIFF<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00bb St Leonards has reports of whiting, squid, pinkie and flathead continue<br \/>\n\u00bb Indented Head is seeing reports of whiting, squid and flathead<br \/>\n\u00bb Swan Bay has flathead, reports of a few squid, King George whiting and salmon continue with some reports as well of some garfish<br \/>\n\u00bb Point Lonsdale pier is still seeing salmon, whiting \u201cwhen weather permits\u201d<br \/>\n\u00bb The White Lady producing some reports of a few whiting and squid<br \/>\n\u00bb Reports of some nice flathead being caught near Clifton Springs<br \/>\n\u00bb The creek continues to produce a few trevally and salmon.<\/p>\n<p>FAMILIES looking to entertain the kids during the school holidays need look no further thanks to the stocking of around 30,000 catchable size rainbow trout into 77 waters across Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>The stockings were funded by the Labor Government\u2019s Target One Million plan, which is investing a record $46 million to get more people fishing, more often \u2013 including kids eager to cast a line.<\/p>\n<p>Rainbow trout are the ideal target species for children and newcomers to fishing because they are relatively easy to catch and take a variety of baits and lures.<\/p>\n<p>Several of the lakes are in suburban Melbourne and regional centres providing the perfect opportunity for beginners to try fishing for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the lakes provide safe and convenient access for families with fishing platforms, bankside tracks, picnic tables and other facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Minister for Agriculture Jaala Pulford said fishing was a great way to enjoy the great outdoors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to get more families into the great outdoors, enjoying time together and being active, which is why we\u2019re improving fishing opportunities for beginners and experts with better facilities, easier access and more stocking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTarget One Million has stocked record numbers over the last 12 months, releasing more than six million fish to improve inland fishing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSchool holidays are just the perfect time for youngsters to get out there and try their luck wetting a line.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Family Fishing Lakes to be stocked for these holidays with rainbow trout include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Karkarook Lake (Moorabbin) (2,000)<\/li>\n<li>Marysville Lake (450)<\/li>\n<li>Lilydale Lake (700)<\/li>\n<li>Emerald Lake (500)<\/li>\n<li>St Augustine\u2019s Waterhole in Geelong (750)<\/li>\n<li>Kennington Reservoir (500)<\/li>\n<li>Pertobe Lake (450)<\/li>\n<li>Morwell Lake (750)<\/li>\n<li>Rowville Lakes (400)<\/li>\n<li>Casey Fields Lake (500)<\/li>\n<li>Darlings ford Lake in Melton (500)<\/li>\n<li>Hyland Lake in Churchill (750)<\/li>\n<li>Bannockburn Lagoon (300)<\/li>\n<li>Esmond Lake (Ballarat) (250)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There\u2019s a daily bag limit of five trout in Family Fishing Lakes, of which only two trout can exceed 35 centimetres.<\/p>\n<p>For the full state-wide list, visit vfa.vic.gov.au\/holidaytrout.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about fishing rules and licensing refer to the Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide, available free from most bait and tackle shops, online at vfa.vic.gov.au or by downloading the free Vic Fishing app for smart phones.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, anyone with information relating to illegal fishing is encouraged to ring the illegal fishing reporting number on 13 FISH (13 34 74).<\/p>\n<h2>PHOTOS<\/h2>\n<p>I would also like to remind everyone to keep those photos coming in of your big catch!
