The Dennis Family Corporation are dedicated to the continued support of community groups within the Armstrong Creek area through their Ashbury Community Fund.<\/p>\n
In what is sure to be good news for local community groups, the 2024 Ashbury Community Fund is now open for applications, with grants of $1,500 available to successful applicants, supported by a total funding pool of $35,000.<\/p>\n

For the seventh year running eligible not-for-profit organisations operating in and around Armstrong Creek can apply, offering a valuable opportunity for local community groups and not-for-profit organisations in and around Armstrong Creek to secure funding for their projects.<\/p>\n
Awarded by an independent judging panel, previous funding grants have gone towards a variety of projects, ranging from cultural celebrations and educational programs to environmental initiatives and health and wellness activities.<\/p>\n

Last year, 21 successful applicants shared in $31,500 worth of grants from the fund. Numbering amongst them was the Type 1 Foundation’s Ange Liston-McCaughley who was thrilled to receive a $1,500 grant on behalf of the organisation.<\/p>\n
“As anyone with Type 1 diabetes knows, receiving an initial diagnoses of the condition is often confronting and the challenges of learning how to live with it can impact the entire family \u2013 especially where children are concerned.<\/p>\n
“We established the Foundation specifically to assist families of children living with Type 1 diabetes and help them not just to survive but thrive.<\/p>\n
“We’re always on the lookout for opportunities to do this, the grant went towards a major networking event connecting families of newly diagnosed children with one another for advice and emotional support, and we can’t thank the Dennis Family Corporation enough for helping us make this a reality.”<\/p>\n

The Dennis Family Corporation has successfully operated Community Funds across its residential estates both in Victoria and South East Queensland since 2002.<\/p>\n
To date it has distributed well over $1million in grants, including $145,000 to local community groups in and around Ashbury.<\/p>\n
Dennis Family Corporation marketing manager Melissa Munro expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s funding round.<\/p>\n
“We’re thrilled to contribute to empowering local groups that foster positive change and enrich lives,” Ms Munro said.<\/p>\n
“The Ashbury Community Fund is not just about financial assistance; it’s about building a stronger, more connected community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.<\/p>\n

“Whether you have a new project in mind or need support to continue an existing initiative, the Ashbury Community Fund offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.”<\/p>\n
Ms Munro encourages any groups who missed out on a grant in 2023 to make sure they lodge an application this year.<\/p>\n
To do so, eligible not-for-profit groups simply need complete an online application form by 30 September 2024.<\/p>\n
Applications will be assessed in early October, with all applicants notified in mid-October once a decision has been reached.<\/p>\n
All successful applicants will also be invited to the presentation evening in mid to late October.<\/p>\n
