{"id":148645,"date":"2024-10-29T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-29T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/?p=148645"},"modified":"2024-10-24T11:59:23","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T00:59:23","slug":"tce-grants-round-closes-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/surfcoasttimes\/news\/tce-grants-round-closes-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"TCE grants round closes soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATIONS close soon for the latest round of grants from Torquay Community Enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>Funded by Torquay&#8217;s Bendigo Bank and overseen by a local board of directors who are all 3228 community members, TCE exists to give money back to community organisations and supports a variety of local initiatives and programs.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it is education, sport, the arts, or the environment, all 3228 organisations are encouraged to check their eligibility for funding.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, TCE aims to support a diverse range of community groups and can offer grants of up to $2,000 in the existing round.<\/p>\n<p>Larger project grants can also be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Projects and activities must offer clear public benefit to the community, building social capital and supporting community welfare.<\/p>\n<p>Preference will be given to projects that support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access and equity for all abilities<\/li>\n<li>Community capacity building projects<\/li>\n<li>Cultural and arts initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Environmental conservation and awareness<\/li>\n<li>Families, children and youth initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Community health and wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>* Schools and early education<\/li>\n<li>Sport and recreation initiatives, and<\/li>\n<li>Preservation of regional history.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Groups must also not have received a grant the year before (no recurrent requests)<\/p>\n<p>The application process is easy and committee members are available, if needed, to discuss the grants process.<\/p>\n<p>Applications close at midnight on November 3.<\/p>\n<p>For more information or to submit your application, head to <a href=\"http:\/\/torquaycommunityenterprise.org.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">torquaycommunityenterprise.org.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATIONS close soon for the latest round of grants from Torquay Community Enterprise.
