CATS star forward Aishling Moloney has been rewarded for her stellar season in the hoops by being included in the final 2024 AFLW All Australian team.<\/p>\n

The award follows an incredible season that saw Moloney kick 21 goals, finishing tied at the top of the league goal kicking tally.<\/p>\n

She became the first Irish-born player to take home an AFL\/VFL\/AFLW league leading goal kicker award.<\/p>\n

Moloney, who was selected in the team at Centre Half Forward, hit the scoreboard in eight of her 11 appearances in 2024.<\/p>\n

This was highlighted by a six-goal haul against West Coast in Round 9, the most goals kicked by a Geelong player in a single AFLW game.<\/p>\n

Along with her scoring prowess, Moloney averaged more than 14 disposals and three tackles per game.<\/p>\n

She becomes the sixth Cats player to earn AFLW All Australian selection in the club’s history and the first since 2022.<\/p>\n

Moloney also finished second in Geelong’s AFLW best and fairest in just her second season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
